Funeral services for Frances Margaret Fauchier, 96 year-old, will be 10:00am, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Ames Christian Church with Pastor Sherry Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Frances was born September 10, 1918, the fourth of nine children, to Robert and Alvina (Gerl) Mitchell and died December 26, 2014, in Fairview, OK. She attended school at Sharon Valley at the foothills of the Gloss Mountains.
On September 25, 1937, she married Melvin Albright southwest of Ringwood. They made their home in Ames before his death in 1968.
On April 28, 1977, Frances married Lyle Fauchier in Arapaho, Oklahoma. They also made their home in Ames. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Being a hard worker was always natural for Frances. She lived by the motto that any job worth doing is worth doing right. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting.
Frances was a member of Ames Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Mary Jeter and seven siblings.
Frances is survived by daughters, Joyce Detrick and husband, Bob of Ames; Norma Cokeley of Oklahoma City; and Doris Murray of Independence, MO; son, Jay Albright and wife, Cathy of Stillwater; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Thelma Bowers of Fairview as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
