Madison K. Arner, 7, of 25 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, passed away Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospital from injuries sustained from a fire at her home Saturday night.
Born in Danville, she was the daughter of John Arner, Nesquehoning, and Lorraine Ross, McAdoo.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Madison was a student at McAdoo-Kelayres Elementary School, entering into second grade this coming school year. She had just graduated from a Daisy to a Brownie with the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, Troop 31644, of McAdoo.
Madison was a happy-go-lucky little girl who loved animals, unicorns and dressing up. She was great at playing video and computer games. Madison loved to spend the day at Knoebel's Amusement Park, which she recently visited, and Great Wolf Lodge. She also enjoyed playing with her "partner in crime," her cousin, Gavin.
Preceding her in death were her paternal grandfather, John V. Arner Jr.; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Catherine (Tier) Ross; and aunt, Charlotte Ross.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her sisters, Chasity Reed and Savanah Searfoss, both at home; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Arner, Nesquehoning; paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Arner, Lansford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday from Damiano Funeral Home Inc., Blaine and Cleveland streets, McAdoo. A memorial service will be held at noon in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. Michael's R.C. Cemetery, Summit Hill.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon in the funeral home.
Madison's parents chose to help others by donating her organs to the Gift of Life Program.
