Painter. He was an Argentinean painter. His main subjects were the South American low lands called pampas and the skilled horseman called gauchos. He is best remembered for his illustrations of the "Alpargatas" almanacs and other illustrations for books. He was a professional colleague of Walt Disney during the early 1950s. In 1946 he published "Vida Gaucha", a text book for Spanish students in the United States. In 1950 he received the Clarín Award, a gold medal awarded in the 5th Argentine Artists Exhibition. An exhibition of his work was held as a posthumous tribute in 1959.
