Bodies of Seven Valley War Dead Are Due Home
..The bodies of three Fresno men and four other valley residents who lost their lives during World War II in the European theater are bing returned to this country aboard the United States Army transport Greenville Victory. The arrival of the funeral ship will be announced by the New York Port of Embarkation.
..The Fresno war dead on the ship are Private First Class Carl A. Nielsen, army, the husband of Mrs. Mary Nielsen of 4776 Tyler Avenue; Gunners Mate Third Class Anthony Piombino, navy, a son of Mrs. Rose Piombino of Blackstone and Gettysburg Avenues, and Private Jesse C. Preston, Jr., army, the husband of Mrs. Inez Preston of 3257 Liberty Avenue.

..Preston and Nielsen were killed in action in France and Piombino was killed in navel action in the Atlantic.
..Other San Joaquin Valley war dead and the next of kin listed for them are as follows:
