Jackson Benton Davis was the son of Elder William Riley Davis and Christiana Adeline Hickman; the husband of Alice Booth. Jack and Alice had two daughters, Carolyn May and Jessie B. Davis. Jackson was born in an area of Dade County that was taken into Lawrence County at its formation in 1845. He died in Lincoln Township at his home near Miller.

2. Co G (Capt. Breeden) 14th Regiment Cavalry State Militia Volunteers.
