Jules Jakob "Yule" Kilcher was the son of Edwin Kilcher and Lina Alter.

Yule Farenorth Kilcher married Ruth Helen Weber and they were the parents of eight children: Mairiis, Wurtilla, Fay, Atz, Sunrise, Otto, Stellavera and Catkin.

In 1955-1956, Yule Kilcher was a delegate to the Alaska pre-statehood Constitutional Convention, and later served in the the Alaska State Senate 1963-1967.
