Billy A. Brown Sr., age 65, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007, at his residence in Marion.

He was born Nov. 3, 1941, in Delaware, Ohio, to the late Billy H. and Lena M. (Schilliger) Brown.

On Dec. 12, 1964, he married Etta "Lou" (Hammond) Brown, who survives in Marion.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1959 to 1962. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge 889, American Legion Post 584 and the AMVETS in Marion. He was employed for 19 years at Tecumseh Products as a skilled machinist and also worked for his father-in-law, A.B. Martin, at Martin's Sohio Service Station in Marion for 15 years. In his free time away from work he enjoyed going fishing, working on small engines and going dancing with his wife.
He is survived by his two sons, Billy A. (Hannah) Brown Jr. of Marion and Charlie M. Brown (fiancee Sonya Florence) of Marion; four sisters, Dorothy Parker of Wakeman, Shirley (Jim) Newell of Radnor, Cora (Jimmy) Graham of Corvallis, Ore., and Imogene (Dick) McKinseys of West Lafayette, Ind. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jamie Waite, Dusty Tolle, Jeremiah Crosby, Shauna Crosby, Billy A. Brown III and Tyler M. Brown; four great-grandchildren, Michaela Waite, Dylan Waite, Tristen Waite and Aden Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews. And greatly loved by his mother-in-law, Frances Martin.
