Sergeant, 1st Class. Son of Mr and Mrs C.M. Allensworth; born September 12, 1897 at Augusta, IL. Entered service April 17, 1917 at Jefferson Barracks; made Corporal; Sergeant; sent to Kelly Field, TX; candidate for Officers Training School, Fort Hancock, GA; transferred to New York City in charge of Aviation Service Department; discharged January 25, 1919.

Donald Chase Allensworth, 64, of 161 N Farnham St, died Thursday at 6 PM in the Galesburg State Research Hospital.
Funeral rites will be Saturday at 2 PM in the Kimber and West Chapel, where friends may call this evening. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Mr. Allensworth was born September 12, 1896, at Augusta and resided since 1900 in Galesburg, where he attended high school and Knox College. He was graduated in 1925 from Columbia University with BA degree. He enlisted in the armed forces in 1917 and served in World War I. His occupation was farming.
Survivors are a brother WR Allensworth, Galesburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary A Creighton, Galesburg, and Mrs. Clarence S Stone, Berkeley, CA.

Funeral rites for Donald C Allensworth, 64, of 161 N. Farnham St, who died Thursday, were held today in the Kimber and West Chapel. Rev WT Lippert officiated, and Mrs. Wayne Tryon was organist.
Burial was in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Wright, Benton A Weinberg, Peter and James Creighton, and David and Robert Allensworth.
