Corporal, Company M, 23rd Infantry, 2nd Division. Son of Mr and Mrs A.K. Allensworth; born June 9, 1895 in Galesburg, IL. Entered the service at Seattle, WA June 23, 1916; in major offensives at Aisne-Marne and Argonne; wounded at Aisne-Marne offensive July 18, 1918; in the trenches 49 days; in the service 3 years; discharged August 14, 1919.

Worked as a switchman for the CB&Q Railroad.

Funeral for Rodney D Allensworth, 80, of 1348 Tamarac St, Denver, CO, a native of Galesburg who died March 12 in Colorado, was today at 3PM at Howard Funeral Home, Denver.
Mr. Allensworth was born June 9, 1895, and grew up in Galesburg. He was a World War I veteran and had worked at the Denver Post Office as a letter carrier.
Surviving with his widow Hazel are two sons, Donald of Aurora, CO, and Robert of San Pedro, CA, and a sister, Mrs. Lauren Goff, Galesburg.
