This is My Love Story about LOUIE
Louie taped this to the mirror one morning for me to see,I thought is was so very sweet.

"Do not press me to leave you,and my going with you, for wherever you go, I shall go,wherever you live,I shall live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Where you die I shall be buried beside you. Let Yaweh bring unnameable ills on me and worse ills, if anything but death should part me from you!" The word of the Lord.

Louie was at one time my fiancee, he was my best friend and he knew me in a way no one else ever did.I also knew him better than anyone else as well. Louie's desire was to love and be loved. He didn't have a happy childhood, and was starved for affection. But he knew I loved him, as did my parents and my children.

I could write reams about him. Stories that were funny, and sad ones, but since I choose to celebrate his life, I would like to focus on those. I met Louie 17 years ago,and fell hard for him. Not only was he good looking, he was funny, compassionate, loving, and all he wanted, was for people to love him.Louie would give his last dollar, the shirt off his back, or help with anything you needed.Although I knew and loved Jesus from my parents, it was Louie who told me I was lukewarm about Jesus. He told me either you can be lukewarm or really get into the "WORD".Because of Louie I started reading the Bible everyday,my prayers became deeper and richer and I let go and let GOD.

Unfortunately Louie had a drinking problem. I am writing this because if someone you know and love drinks get them help. It's really up to them though, you can only hope they will ask for the help.Louie's liver was in bad shape, and had terrible health problems as he became older. The drinking also prevented the marriage. In spite of this I continued to live with him as his health was failing and myself, his daughter and his sweetie, his step-daughter Kim cared for him. He was always cheery for the most part and the neighbors loved him.The one person he never trusted, I should have listened, but I didn't. I wish I had.

Louie hated hospitals and never wanted to be in them. He swore they were all trying to poison him and never took his medicine for his heart. One time the police had to look for him as he "escaped" from the hospital, he would have made it over the river to, but they spotted the I.V.pole.LOL, then another time he grabbed a wheelchair and just as he was about to cross an extremely busy street, his doctor grabbed him. He drove everyone in the hospitals crazy, yet the nurses adored him. That was Louie's charm. You really could not stay mad at him, it was virtually impossible. Louie had a child like quality and at times it was like having a 6'3 toddler roaming around.

Louie was a New York City Firefighter for 6 years and he loved it. Louie had an A type personality, so the more danger the more he enjoyed it. He had a bad skydiving accident, but still it did not deter him from loving it.Louie also worked for The Department of Sanitation, NYC.

When my parents became ill, I could not have done it all without him. My Mom was not ambulatory,so every morning I would get her cleaned for the day and Louie would lift her up very gently from the bed and sit her either at the table her wheelchair or in the car if we were going out to eat. After my Mom died my Louie would sit up all night with my Dad and he would tell stories and listen to my Dad's stories. He took my Dad flying for the first time. My Dad had flown on regular commercial planes but never in a Cessna. He loved it so much he was considering going for piloting lessons. My Dad was even permitted to fly the plane for a few minutes. He became my Dad's son.

He was looking forward to moving, and enjoying his beloved upstate New York, when he collapsed on Dec. 26th.. Louie has several scares over the years but we always joked that Louie had the lives of nine cats !!I wish he had, but God needed him home.

Louie was a true Christian in word and deed.He brought a lot of people to Christ and prayed without ceasing.

He is survived by me, his daughters Theresa, Kimberly and Tawanna and his special boy Grandson Christopher. He adored his god-daughter Kaylaa. We were truly his real family, and took care of him for years. He was estranged from most of his family for over the last 15 years. He started to become close to his sister Donna towards the end, and that made him very happy, that his younger sister and him had a good relationship again. He is survived by his biological family~his Dad Louis Sr.another sister, and his dearest friend Bruce. His Mom Lillian predeceased him in April.

I thank God above that he called Louie home because he was on machines keeping him alive, he would have had dialysis and he would have hated that.

Louie returned home to Jesus at 11:36 P.M. om the 18th of January.I will see you on the bright side.Enjoy Heaven, you deserve it !!!

"I'm Moving On"

I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once I'm at peace with myself
I've been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
I'm movin' on

I've lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they're always the same
They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don't belong
I'm movin' on

I'm movin' on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone
There comes a time in everyone's life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone

I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I've loved like I should but lived like I shouldn't
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I'm movin' on

I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on

Death is Nothing at All

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
How we shall laugh at this parting
when we meet again.
