Pro football player. He was a four-year letterman in football, basketball and track at Central Oklahoma State. He was freshman athlete of the year in 1935 and co-senior athlete of the year in 1938. He was a "Little All-American" pick in 1937 and went on to play a short stint for the New York Giants in the NFL. He was an end in five games with the Giants in 1938. The Giants brought him up from their farm affiliate, the Jersey City Giants, in the American Association. He was inducted into the Central State athletic hall of fame in 1993. He served in the Navy, Army and the U.S. Border Patrol.
