Pearl Louise Brinegar, 90, of Towanda, died Thursday, Feb. 22, at LakePoint Nursing Center. Services are pending with Carlson Funeral Home. (El Dorado Times, February 22, 2001)

Louise Brinegar, 90 of Towanda, died Thursday, Feb 22, at LakePoint Nursing Center in El Dorado. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb 26 at Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

She was born March 31. 1819 to George W. and Etna Electa (Robinette) Sammons. She had lived in Butler County for many years and made her home in Towanda since 1884, moving from El Dorado. She was co-owner and operator of Peter Pan Cleaners for 15 years before retiring. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in El Dorado.

In 1927, she was married to Howard H. Bailey. She later married Carl Brinegar on May 16, 1970. He preceded her in death in January 1986.

Survivors include: sons, Melvin "Bud" Bailey of Eldorado and Donald H. Bailey of Clovis, N.M.; daughters, Betty Austin, Jeanienne Wiens and Barbara Brush, of Towanda; and L.A. "Toni" Holbrook of Derby; a sister, Dorothy Buttry of Eldorado; 19 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband in 1985, four brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Association in care of Carlson Funeral Home, which has the arrangements.
