Lola Coley Austin, 90, of South Pittsburgh, died on June 14, 2012 She walked into her Heavenly Father's arms while being a resident at The Bridge of South Pittsburgh.
She was born on May 11, 1922 in Bridgeport, Alabama and moved to South Pittsburgh in 1950. She worked at South Pittsburgh Knitting Mills and then for Jenkins and Darwin's Department Store. She attended Bridgeport Church of God and then South Pittsburgh Church of God until she was confined at The Bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Coley, her husband Jesse Austin, her sister Hazel Turner, and step-son Bobby Austin.
She is survived by stepson William Ray Austin, South Pittsburgh, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dearly loved friends.
Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CST at the Tate Funeral Home, Jasper, TN with the service to follow at 3:00 pm CST with Reverend Ronnie Case officiating. Burial will follow at Sequatchie Memorial Gardens.
