Charles G. Angel, age 77 of the Griffith Community in Pikeville, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for seventy five years. Charles came from Arkansas at 21/2 years of age and moved to the farm he cherished where he resided for the rest of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his family as his number one priority. Charles was preceded in death by Charlie J. and Ethel M. Angel. Suvivors include wife of fifty-two years, Imogene Angel; son Charles Norman (Janet) Angel; daughter Jeanna (Bron) Reece, all of Pikeville; three grandchildren, C. J. (Jessyca) Angel; Justin Christopher (Jammie) Angel; Alicia (Michael) Maddox; one great-grandchild, Allie Brook Angel; cousin who was raised as a brother, Dale Burgess. Service will be Saturday at 2:00 pm CDT at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Haston, Bro. Darrell Evans, and Bro. Casey Oakes officiating. Burial will be in Charlie J.
