John "Jack" Edward Bingham
July 24, 1948 - September 3, 2014

John Edward Bingham, age 66, of Hixson, TN passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.

Jack was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He had over twenty years in the United Sates Army, serving active duty and reserve. He began his military career in 1968 and retired in 1994 as Master Sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division . Also during this time he served three tours in Vietnam and served during Desert Storm. Jack worked for over 20 years with the United States Postal Service.

Jack was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Harriet Bingham

Jack is survived by his wife, Cindy Bingham of Hixson, TN; two daughters, Michelle (Joel) Gates of Lexington, MA and Jackie (Carson) Orton of Great Lakes, Il ; six grandchildren; brother, Robert Bingham of Sarasota, FL, sister-in-law, Vicki Bryson and brother-in-law, Rick (Mary) Hurst; three nephews and one niece.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7,2014 from 2-5 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Steve Canada

In Lieu of flowers, Jack requested memorial contribution can be made to American Lung Association , 1466 Riverside Drive, Suite D, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37406

Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.
