Son of Adelard and Eva Boulanger of Lachine, Quebec, Canada.

Brother of Sister St. Claude of the Grey Nuns of the Cross Congregation in Ottawa.

Educated at the College of St. Laurent in Montreal, Quebec. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939, and received his pilot's wings in February 1941. In March 1941, he departed for service in England. A Pilot Officer, he was attached to 615 (RAF) Squadron at the time of his accidental death at 26 years of age.
