Born June 4, 1925, in Harlan County, he was a son of the late Amon and Susie Caldwell Brock. He was a retired coal miner.
Survivors Include his wife, Nora Gross Brock (1935-2008) ; three sons, Sammy Brock, Plese Brock Jr. and Jackie Ellis; two daughters, Betty Ann Sparrow and Gail Cochran; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brock was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Greer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Bently officiating. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
