CRAB ORCHARD - Nora Edna Gross Brock, 72, of Crab Orchard died Friday (April 25, 2008) at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
She was the widow of Plese Brock Sr (1925-2008) . She was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Harlan and was the daughter of the late Levi and Oma Griffey Gross. She was a homemaker and a very dear loving mother.
Survivors include five children, Sammy (Ruby) Brock, Plese (Linda) Brock Jr., Jackie Ellis (Debbie) Brock, Betty Ann (Joe) Sparrow and Gail Chochran; a sister, Betty (Bobby) McMahan; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Helen Greer; three sisters, Dorothy Mae Rodriguez, Shirley Wilson and Barbara Gonzales; and three brothers, Caleb, John D. and Eugene Gross.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKnight Funeral Home with burial in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
