Services Held For Sophia C. Broady

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for Sophia Caroline Bjorklund Broady, 63, in the Central ward chapel under direction of Bishop Kenneth Christensen. Mrs. Broady died at her Central home Friday following an extended illness.

She was born October 29, 1883, at Gavele, Sweden, a daughter of Anders and Johanna Maria Granstedt Bjorklund. She came to the United States, in 1913 and was married to John Albert Anderson on June 24, 1914, in the Salt Lake temple. Mr. Anderson died in June 1918. Later she was married to Charles G. Broady, October 21, 1921 at Soda Springs.

Surviving besides her husband are three sons, LeRoy Julius Anderson, Everett John Anderson of Central and Heber George Anderson, who returned from Alaska on word of his mother's death; four stepchildren: Clarence Anderson, Bancroft, Mrs. Irene Pointeck of St. Paul, Minn., Fred Broady, Richmond, and Mrs. Annie Peterson of Lund, Idaho; and one brother, Edward Bjorklund of Sweden.

Burial under direction of the Webb-Hendricks mortuary of Preston, was made in the cemetery at Central.
