O. P. Bottom left on Monday afternoon for Kentucky, in response to a message announcing the serious illness of his wife. Mr. Bottom left his wife visiting in Kentucky some weeks ago and returned to his business at Florence. At that time his wife was improving fast in health and the message of her critical condition was unexpected.
