~~THIS IS MY FAVORITE AUNT~~

Wife of - Raymond A Busby

Daughter of -
Warner Curtis Rich
Bessie Mae Mabry Rich

Brother of - Robert Lee Rich

Foster Mother of -
Frankie Sullivan and wife Emily
Foster Grandmother of - Kirk Sullivan

Aunt To - Martha, Barbara,
Bobby and Donnie Rich

Their are so many wonderful memories of
this angel that walked here on earth. She
was my Aunt also like a mother to me. She
gave us love and wisdom that has made me
what I am today ~ She was a wonderful
daughter to her parents, a loving wife to
her husband Raymond, devoted to her brother
Robert, loved by her neices Martha and
Barbara and nephews Bobby and Donnie.
Then in later years a foster mother to
Frankie Sullivan and a foster grandson
Kirk Sullivan.

Aunt Margaret grew up in a time when
families worked hard. Her Father was a
farmer so she and her brother Robert
worked on the farm and traveled a long
way to school. They both had horses,
Daddy's was red with a white blaze face
Aunt Margaret's was solid black. I often
think of her sitting on her black horse
with her red hair blowing in the wind.
She would ride through the hills on her
horse to visit her friends.
Daddy often talked about living in Tunica
and having to cross the coldwater river
to visit friends in strayhorn. He couldn't
swim so he would slip off of the saddle
and hold to his horse as it swam across.
They rode them to church where Daddy met
Mother and possibly she met her Raymond.
They were close all there lives and had
nicknames for each other. Daddy was her
Bubba and she was his Sissy.

Aunt Margaret always brought clothes for
us all. I know of one christmas when
Daddy was so sad because he said santa
might not come this year. Barbara said
we had gone to bed when a car pulled up
late into the night and it was Aunt
Margaret and Uncle Raymond with toys from
santa. She said she could hear Daddy crying
on the porch.(What A Great Sister)
She taught me how to put on stockings, fix
my hair and how to wear lipstick. She set a
great example of always being there to help
anyone. "HER FAMILY WAS HER LIFE"
She was a great cook her potroast,
chocolate pies and butter rolls
are famous!!!

Her love of family was their until the
end. She was at her husbands side when
he passed away. She took care of her
brother until he left for the hospital
for the last time and she took care of
my Mother for 8 years before she went
into the nursing home. After caring for
everyone and loving us always she died
alone in a hospital in Memphis, Tn.
while having treatments for CANCER. It
is one of my greatest heartbreaks. Her
foster sons wife was to stay with her
that night but left her alone.

She only lived 8 months after Mother's
death...

Memories of her is one of my greatest
treasures and I will carry them with me
until I leave this world and take my
seat at the table next to her...

I Love You Aunt Margaret, Martha

Added Janaury 25,2008

Aunt Margaret spent her whole
life caring for the ones she
loved. She couldn't drive and
when my Daddy, her only "Brother"
was sick she walked several miles
to his house to take care of him and
Mother. She Died Of Cancer. She was
86 years old.

"I Love and Miss Her Everyday"

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousands winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on fallen snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the soft and gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the early morning's
hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there. I did not die.
