After much research, I am certain that a mistake was made regarding Charles' middle name by whoever erected his stone. His middle initial was actually "O". A transcription of a transcription of the cemetery done in 1906 erroneously gives Charles middle initial as "E" and a death date as 1906. However, another transcription, obviously done from visualizing the stone, lists the inscription exactly as it is on the stone, and the correct death date as 1900. In addition, I have seen a photo of the entire plot, and Charles stone is beside his mother and father's grave, and on the other side of him is his wife.
