Jimmy and the driver of the automobile, Barry Forbes, also of Pembroke, were alone in the automobile when, according to police, it went out of control about an 1/8 of a mile beyond the Marshfield (MA) business district. The crash took place at 11:07 Friday night.
The car slammed into one tree, ricocheted and struck another. One of the youths was thrown clear, the other was trapped in the wreckage. The impact of the crash was such that the car folded up.
Bezanson was one of 13 children and the son of Christina and Howard Bezanson. The latter has been prominent in Pembroke Little League and Basketball League activities. Jimmy and Barry were probably killed outright and were pronounced dead on arrival at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. Jimmy was scheduled to enter Silver Lake Regional High School, Kingston, MA as a senior in September.
