Richard is survived by Joan Anthony, his wife of 48 years. He lived in Syracuse, NY all of his life until 2003 when he moved to Beckley, W. Va. He served four years in the U S Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968, including a tour of Vietnam where he sustained lifelong disabling injuries. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 32 in Beckley, and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4469 in Beckley.
