From the Ludington Newspaper:
Hiram Beebe "The BEEBE and WILEY families were pioneers in Mason County, Michigan, near Ludington and Wiley. Hiram BEEBE homesteaded a farm which was about 7 miles south of US 10 on US 31. He is buried on the crest of the cemetery which he gave from one corner of his farm. He gave a second corner for a school and a third for a church, helping to build them all. Inscription on his tombstone, 'Farewell my wife and children all, From you a father Christ doth call. Mourn not for me, it is in vain, To call me to your sight again.'"
