She was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church and the Women Home Aide Society. She was a former employee of Milliken and Company of Saluda and she was an employee of Kraft Foods. She was living at 108 Myranda Avenue, Saluda, SC. She died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in Agape Hospice of Columbia, SC.

She was the daughter of the late Lucinda Nelson Scurry and the late Johnnie Speach. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by son: Isiah Nelson; siblings: Willie Fred Nelson, Ira Paul Nelson, Daisy L. Scurry and Stella Alewine.

She is survived by son: Stanley (Tousani) Anderson of Saluda, SC; daughter: Betty Nelson of Saluda, SC; five grandchildren, two grandsons reared in the home: Antonio Mathis and Jacobi Boyd both of Saluda, SC; stepmother: Mamie Lee Speech of Batesburg, SC; two brothers: Raymond (Joan) Nelson of Saluda, SC and Joseph Nelson of Batesburg, SC; four sisters: Essie Nelson of Greenwood, SC, Mary Speach and Catherine Mingo both of Batesburg, SC and Johnnie Mae Lemons of Leesville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and sorrowing friends.

Funeral services was 10 AM on Saturday at the Riverside Community Center with Reverend Annette Mathis officiating. Burial followed in Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery.

Butler & Sons Funeral Home assisted the Anderson Family.
