Nora Edwin Ayers, 76 of Winder, GA died peacefully at her residence on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late Frank Wade Edwins and the late Virginia Inabinet Edwins. She was married to the late Thomas Edward Ayers and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church; she was preceded in death by a sister; Frances Auerswald, Margaret Betsill, Barbara Collins, Lelia Edwins; 2 brothers; Frank Edwins, Jr. and Jimmy Edwins.

Survivors include daughter; Shirley Ann Ayers (Ramtin) of Germantown, MD; son; Thomas Raymond Ayers (Sandra) of Hoschton, GA; four grandchildren; Lee Ayers (Gabby) of Jeffererson, GA; Amanda Matos (D. J.) of Statham, GA; Thomas Edward Ayers of Hoschton, GA; Cyrus Zadeh of Falls Church, VA; four great grandchildren; Hailey Matos,Colton Graham, Chelseigh Graham and Jackson Ledford; a brother; Hampton Edwins (Minnie) of Branchville; sister; Marie Gleary of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg, SC 29115. Memorials may be made to St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 1356 Amelia Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115 or to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The funeral service was held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 1356 Amelia Street in Orangeburg with Rev. Gary Peterson with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.
