Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Ayoub of Columbia, SC passed away peacefully on April 20, 2015. She was the daughter of the late E. J. and Julia Ayoub.

She graduated at Columbia High School. She was a ballerina and spent her summers in New York as a child. She loved butterflies and her passion was dogs but was a huge animal lover. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Kelly of Irmo; son: Michael and his wife, Donna Haynes of Leesville; daughter: Julia and her husband Tommy Miller of Lexington. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Brandon and Nicole Kelly, Angela and Michael Bryant, Taylor and Ryan Haynes, Elizabeth and Travis Henderson and Megan and Chelsea Miller; five great-grandchildren: Trinity, Myriah, Cameron, Abigail and Mikey; her life-long friend and cousin, Ann Lyons.

The family received friends on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia from 1:30 - 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow.
