Robert Edens Allawos, age 60, of Columbia, passed away on October 4, 2015. He lost his life trying to help others during the recent flood. Robert was born in Columbia, SC on December 11, 1954 to the late Joseph and Gloria Holtzmann Allawos. Robert was an extremely hard worker. He was amazingly focused and dedicated. He was kind and generous to a fault. During his adult life, he worked for J&G Food Products for over 20 years. For the last eight years, Robert was employed by Publix Super Market at Trenholm Plaza.
Robert enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed cruising all over the world and took many of them with his mother, Gloria. Robert was the ultimate Gamecock fan and took great pride in his team! Robert's kind soul will be missed by those that love him.
Funeral services for Robert will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 at 1 PM with the Reverend Terry Cagle officiating. Interment will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
