West Columbia, SC - Virginia H. Areheart passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015. She was born on November 24, 1915, in Columbia, SC to the late William and Rosa Belle Hill. She was married to the late Cullen R. Areheart for 67 years.

She was a faithful member at Grace Chapel Community Church. She spent may years serving her Savior by teaching Sunday School at Grace Chapel and Dunns Chapel. Nana, as she was lovingly known by her family, was an avid storyteller. She shared her wonderful memory with all who would take the time to visit. Nana loved to bake and the members of her church looked forward to Sunday meals so they could enjoy a piece of her fabulous cake. She enjoyed working at the voting polls, meeting and greeting everyone. She was a true blessing and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her children: Cullen Ray (Rebecca) Areheart, Annie Faye (Bob) Stockland, Joseph Allen (Connie) Areheart; 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Kim Rivers for being a loving caregiver and friend to Nana over the last 3 years.

A visitation will be held at Grace Chapel Community Church in Dixiana at 2:30 PM on Monday, November 2, 2015. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 PM, with Pastor Rusty Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Chapel Community Church, 633 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC, 29212.
