Marianne Barbuch, age 88 years of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Sheboygan on February 11, 1922 daughter of Frank and Josephine Versey Golob. Marianne graduated from Waukegan High School in 1939.
On June 14, 1941 she married Joseph Barbuch at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Marianne worked in the housekeeping department at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for over 20 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, KSKJ Lodge #144 of Sheboygan and the Christian Women. She enjoyed reading, was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a dog lover.
Marianne is survived by her six children; Robert (Mary Kay) Barbuch of Carmel, IN, Richard (Mary Lou) Barbuch of Sussex, Charleen (Todd) Grube of Sheboygan, Brian (Debbie) Barbuch of Sheboygan, Joleen (Terry) Schmidt of Fond du Lac, and Thomas (Maribeth) Barbuch of Port Washington. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Joan Golob of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her son, James; three brothers, Joseph, William and Edward Golob and one sister Frances Williamson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 13 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan with Father Richard Cerpich officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greendale Cemetery in Sheboygan.
