Parents: Philip Philemon Larimore, Sr. (b. ca 1736 (Queen Anne's Co., Maryland Colony)-1801 (Rockingham Co., NC) and Mary A. Garrett (1740-1801). Mary died in Rockingham Co., NC

When Philip, Jr. was born, Maryland was a colony.

Philip and Martha "Patsy" Bloyd were married in 1793 in Rockingham Co., NC.

Philip Philemon, Jr. bought 41 acres on Wolf Creek Island near his and Martha's parents who were neighors. He and Martha farmed. This is where their first four children were born:
James, 1798
Susannah, 1799
William, 1801
Richard, 1804

In late 1804/early 1805, Philip, Jr., with most of his siblings and their families and with Martha's family, moved to Green Co., Kentucky. Philip's older brother, Richard Larimore, Sr. moved to Green Co., KY in 1800.

By 1807, the whole Larimore clan had moved to Green Co., KY. Philip, Jr. purchased 150 acres on 8 Oct. 1807 on Little Brush Creek. He bought the land from Joseph Meridith and his wife for $600. The land he purchased was 10 miles northwest of Greensburg, not far from Summersville.

By 1816, Philip owned 230 acres and 5 or 6 horses. In 1819, when his children started to marry, he began to sell each of them some of the home farm for their homesteads.

By 1818, Philip's brothers Richard Larimore, Sr. and Rev. James Larimore and their families had moved to Missouri and Arkansas respectively. This means that all of the Larimores found in Kentucky after 1820 were members of Philip and Martha's family.

Philip & brother James Larimore & their families are found in the 1820 U.S. Census for Greensburgh, Green Co., KY. They are listed beside one another.

There is no record that Philip or Martha owned slaves.

No headstones for Philip or Martha remain.
