Virgil S. Curnell, 21, of Ironton, Ohio died in the line of duty on Saturday (November 22, 2008) while on active duty in the U.S. Army.
Virgil was buried with full military honors & 2 flags were presented. One to his wife & one to his Mother.
Virgil graduated high school at age 15. He was always in a hurry.
Virgil's favorite color was green. My Mom lived across from the Army recruiter. Virgil wore green almost everyday. He told Virgil come back when you are older & I will give you a paycheck to wear that green.
When Virgil was very young he refused to eat or drink anything that was not green. We used green food coloring on everything!
Virgil would only want grape juice to drink when he was sick. Even as an adult he had to have grape juice when sick.
