Myra was the oldest child of Thomas Merrill Johnson and Hattie Ellen Duggan.

She married Albert Nicholas Bloomster, 15 March 1904 in Las Animas, Bent, Colorado. After a few years they moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and raised their family there. Myra and Albert had eleven children.

Myra and Albert died four days apart: she from complications of diabetes, he from injuries sustained in a car accident.
