His hometown is Hillside, NJ.

Bill served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). He was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 4th Infantry Division.

William Berenwick was killed in action on February 16, 1967, as part of Operation Sam Houston.

I am in the process of doing family tree. In doing the research for some for it I searched my uncle on the Internet. I saw that you have listed no known location for his grave. Pfc. William M Berenwick is interred at Hollywood Cemetery in Hillside New Jersey. He was survived by his parents, both are deceased, five sisters, two now deceased, and one brother. He had three nephews and one niece at the time of his death. He would later have 8 more nieces and more nephews.

I wish to thank you for your site work on it. All I have left is a picture of him holding me as an infant. I'm glad that he's remembered by more than just his family.
