Nathaniel "Uncle Nathan" Dabney was born, to the late Mr and Mrs Paul Dabney (Mary), on 10-29-1918. He was baptized at an early age and reared in the church. He joined the Army, reaching the rank of Corporal, he was a chef in the Army. After his honorable discharge he met and married Esther Gardner,in 1952. Uncle Nathan worked for the Hodges Family for 30 years, until his retirement in 1995.

Deacon Dabney was a member of the Rice's Temple AOH Church of God, under the late Bishop Rice, and Elder F McNeil, for over 20 years,at the time of his passing he was a founding deacon at Victory Tabernacle AOH Church.


He leaves to mourn and remember, his wife Evangelist Esther Dabney ( 1924-2000) , four children, Mary E Lacey ; Jessie Sankey Bozeman ( Bright); Patricia A Walker, all of Montgomery, AL. and Ms.Jonnix Harris of Los Angeles CA. One sisier MaryJackson, of Montgomery, sixteen grandchildren,, several devoted neices and nephews, includng Ms Brendalyn Gardner, of Atlanta GA.
