NOTE: Sak Erickson has a cenotaph in British Columbia at Maple Ridge Cemetery, where his wife is buried. They are both listed on the monument, but only she is actually buried there. As was the custom at the time of his death, Sak's ashes were scattered over the grave of his son-in-law, Eric O'Brien in Edmonton at Westlawn Memorial Gardens. There is no marker for Sak at that location. His memorial is the cenotaph at Maple Ridge Cemetery in BC.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Gladys) Rouleau and Mrs. Eric (Sylvia) O'Brien, both of Edmonton, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service was held on Thursday, August 2, 1979 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel with Reverend W. E. Burgess officiating. Cremation followed. Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel were in charge of arrangements. 10541 81 Ave. Phone 432-1714.
