Fourth son, and seventh child of Frank and Mollie Logan. Johnnie was born on the Kansas prairie, near Smith Center. In 1894, the family moved to Mingo, Thomas County, Kansas, where Frank and Mollie established a homestead.

On October 6th, 1892, while his eldest sister was helping their mother with laundry, and the making of soap, Johnnie mistook a bottle of lye for milk and drank it before Jessie could stop him.

The little family mourned the passing of their precious son and brother. He was laid to rest in the Mingo Cemetery, where a few years later his parents, Mollie and Frank would be laid to rest next to him.

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 14:09
