Graveside service for Marian Woody Acola, 94, of Decatur was Monday, Feb. 7, at the Deep Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Rusty Hedges officiated.
Acola died Feb. 5, 2000 in Decatur.
Born Aug. 26, 1905 in the Deep Creek Community of Wise County, Acola was married to the late Sam Acola in 1927 in Dallas. She was the granddaughter of Sam Woody, an early settler of Wise County.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Sam Woody and Betty Acola of Fort Worth; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Acola and Richard Phelps of Conroe and Elizabeth and Harold Clevenger of Dallas; two grandchildren, Maxine Acola of Houston and Gary Phelps of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren.
