Leopold Bopp was born on April 16, 1923 to Anna and Wilhelm Bopp in Fresno, California.

Leo graduated from Edison "Tech" High School in 1940 where he served as Student Body President and played Varsity Football. He attended Fresno State before entering the Army and served in the 155th Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II. Upon his return, Sgt. Bopp started in the Sheet Metal Trade. He was most proud of being a Member of the Sheet Metal Worker's International Association Local Union 252 for 60 years. As a Foreman, primarily at Griffith Dyer, he worked on many of Fresno's Commercial buildings.

He was active in the Tehran Shrine, Novkeps, Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Elk's Lodge, Order of Quetzalcoatl, Verdi Club, and the Edison Social Club.

His smile, humor, and company will be deeply missed by many, but mostly by his loving family and dog Winston.

Leo passed away at his home in Fresno, November 4, 2012, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Grace Logoluso Bopp; his son William Bopp and wife Patricia; daughter Sundae Curra and husband Steve; grandchildren Dimitri and Alaina Bopp, Lee and Joby Curra; his sister Ann Chew, niece Cheryl Tomlinson and husband Carl, and their daughter Sheri.

At Leopold's request, there will be no services. He wanted all of his family and friends to remember him with good thoughts and the happy memories that he shared with you.
