Art married Patricia A. Taylor on 12 Jun 1960 in Fresno, California.
Art served as CEO of Kings County YMCA and Central Valley YMCA for Fresno City and County for 16 years. His passion for Christian camping was the focus of his life's work. It was at Sequoia Lake at the age of ten that Art gave his life to Christ.
Art and Pat, his wife of 53 years, renovated the Turn of the Century Corner, which included the Reedley Opera House, now on the National Register of Historic Places.
Art and his entire family wish to extend their gratitude to the cardiac specialists whose expertise enabled him to exceed his life-expectancy by thirty years. Art tried to live his life by the "I am third" creed: "God first, others second, I am third."
Art passed away at home on April 30, 2013.
Art is survived by his wife Pat (Taylor); sons, Bret (Laura), Derek (Lisa), Kurt (Heather), and Joel Hoffman (Edith); and ten grandchildren.
