For 25 years he co-owned and operated The Movies video rental store with his wife Jayne Jennings Booth, aided by his two children, Allison Booth and Louis Booth; and many friends of the Tower District community. The Movies specialized in a library of films that were foreign, independent, classic documentaries, LGBT, and other hard to find stuff and was described as a cultural centerpiece of the Fresno community.
He was also an X-ray technician at Fresno Community Hospital for over 20 years.
In addition to his great love for his family, his business, and the Tower District, Jeff was a lifelong supporter of Fresno's independent music scene where "Jeff and Jayne" became icons of encouragement for Fresno's Blues music community in particular.
A Celebration Life will be held at Full Circle Brewery, on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
