Erma Masolini Brady, born in Willits, California in 1915, moved with her family at a young age to the Dixieland area of Madera where she attended school and helped on the family ranch.

After graduating from Madera High School in 1933, Erma was employed as a secretary at Security Title Company for 16 years. It was during that time that Erma's sister, Enes Brunetti, introduced her to Carl Brady. The two married shortly before Carl left for the South Pacific where he would spend more than three years during World War II.

After Carl's return, the couple settled in Madera, where Carl began a long career with Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Erma left Security Title in 1952 after the birth of daughter.

Erma was an avid golfer. She and Carl were charter members of the Madera Golf and Country Club. In 1969 Erma was the MG&CC Ladies Champion.

Erma was a faithful and devoted member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and for many years was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul.

Erma enjoyed visits to the Central Coast to golf and later to visit her daughter's family. She was especially proud of her two grandchildren.

Erma passed away quietly with her family at her side on Thursday, August 5, 2010.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carl Brady, her sisters Enes Brunetti and Edith Masolini, a brother, Emilio "Shorty" Masolini, brother-in-law John Brunetti, and sister-in-Law Mary Jean Masolini.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law of San Luis Obispo, and two grandchildren.

Erma's family gratefully acknowledged the dedicated staff of County Villa in Madera who cared for Erma the past six months, and especially Luz Singh who provided Erma with care and companionship in her home for the past three years.

A memorial service was held Monday, August 9, 2010 at Jay Chapel in Madera.

Interment: Calvary Mausoleum, Madera, CA.

Donations may be made in Erma's memory to Madera St Vincent de Paul, 420 South "B" Street, Madera, CA 93638.
