Erma was born December 24, 1928 in Woodville, Idaho, to Everett Lavern and Melva Almeda Bowman Saulls. She attended
school in Woodville, Soda Springs, Wapello, Pingree and Rockford,Idaho. She lived in Woodville, Pingree, and Thomas during the winter months and spent summers in Gray's Lake and Wolverine Canyon.
Erma married Frank Allen, he preceded her in death, then she married Harvey Benson, they were later divorced. She then married Merrill Davis, he preceded her in death, following his death she re-married Harvey Benson, he also preceded her in death.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Erma was very diversified, she worked as a CNA, for American Potato as a product line operator, drove a scrapper and a Cat for construction, was a waitress and a truck driver. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch and riding horses. She loved feeding squirrels and birds.
Erma is survived by her son, Steven R. Benson of Spokane, WA; brothers, Lynn Everett,Saulls of Montpelier, ID, Leon Jack Saulls, of Pocatello, ID; sister, Susan Stacey of Lakeview, OR; nieces, Ethel Anderson, Melva Bunn, Melody Rigby, Pat Posey, Nancy Presley, Bonnie Blackburn, Melba Saulls, Leeann Saulls; nephews, Lyn Lee Saulls, Anglo Saulls and Jeff Mesowski; and one grandchild, Kenneth Benson.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank, Merrill and Harvey; her parents; one grandchild, Stephanie Benson and one sister, Viola Mae Mesowski.
