Audra June Brogan

Audra June Brogan, age 94, of Piney View, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the Greystone Inn at Daniels, W.Va., following a short illness.

Born on June 21, 1916, at Crow, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Clarkson Redden and Bertha Boley Redden.

Mrs. Brogan was a homemaker, and a member of Piney View Bible Church at Piney View, West Virginia. She had made her home at Piney View for most of her adult life. Her hobbies included gardening, working with her flowers, and crafts. She loved her church, and church family, where she had served in many of the church groups.

Mrs. Brogan was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Brogan, and by three brothers and two sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Dolly Williamson of Belleview, Fla., William J. Brogan and his wife Pauline of Daniels, Deta Peterson and her husband Eugene of Fern Park, Fla., Benny Brogan and his wife Yoko of Brooksville, Fla., and Michael Brogan and his wife Linda of Williston, Fla.; three sisters, Pearl Wilson of Beckley, Geraldine Swartz of Murphy, N.C., and Marie Oakes of Shady Spring; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren are also among her survivors.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, on Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Cecil Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Calfee Cemetery at Mount Tabor, W.Va.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
