Mabel was the daughter of Otis and Sarah Jane {Achorn} Larrabee and first wife of John Henry Freeman, whom she married on 5 February 1877. They had two sons, Eugene & Elmer, and two daughters, Ethel & Louise. Sadly, Mabel succumbed to blood poisoning at age 36. Mabel's death record indicates that she was buried at Achorn Cemetery in Rockland, Maine where her parents are found, although her name is included on John Henry Freeman's headstone in Thomaston.
