A funeral Mass for Adrienne A. Baranowski (nee Kowalczyk), 67, of Elgin, formerly of Palatine and Quincy, was celebrated Dec. 4 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Elgin.

Prior to her retirement in 2000, Mrs. Baranowski had worked as an occupational health nurse for Nabisco Bakery of Chicago for more than 10 years. She had also worked as a real estate agent with Century 21 of Arlington Heights. When she lived in Palatine, she had been involved in her community, including being a former president of the Whytecliffe Women's Club. She also was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, where she was involved in the youth ministry.

Mrs. Baranowski is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward J.; three daughters, Arden, Claudette (Alex Yasell) and Vickie (fiance Glenn House); her mother, Sophie Kowalczyk; a brother, Edward (Dolores) Kowalczyk of Arlington Heights; and many aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kowalczyk.

Interment was in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles. Arrangements were made with Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, Palatine.
