Age 75, of Joliet, IL passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

He was born in Oak Park, IL on September 27, 1936 to the late John and Mary (Horecny) Bajovich, he was a 29 year Cicero resident and a 15 year resident of Berkeley, prior to moving to Joliet in 2005.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Dawn (Jindrich); he is also survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Joseph) Spinasanta and Deborah (Tom) Kliegl; three grandchildren, Rachael Bajovich; Brett and Jeffrey Kliegl; one brother, Nick Bayo; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven R. Bajovich; and his parents.

Mr. Bajovich, a U.S. Army reservist, was a retired Officer of the Cicero Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Elmhurst American Legion, Post # 187, and American Legion Post #1080 in Joliet. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; a BBQ "grillmaster" and chef, who could fix just about anything.

Funeral Services for Steve J. Bajovich will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Joliet, where visitation will take place from 3-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.

As it was Steve's wish, Cremation Rites will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Joliet Oncology and Hematology Associates (JOHA), 2614 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60435, would be appreciated.
