Her family called her Nell, she was the daughter of Loren Hobson Sprinkle and Clara Cora Carter.
Her mother passed away when she was about two years old at that time it was called lock jaw.
Loren wasn't able to care for Nell after his wife's death, and his sister took her only "temporarily". Her life was difficult growing up but eventually she was reunited with her father and five siblings.

Funeral services for Mrs W.C. (Dorothy)Briley, 44, 0f 114 Penrose, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Weisen, paster of Park Heights Baptist officiating. Burial will be in Lawnhaven Cemetery.
She died at 10:18 a.m. Sunday at Shannon Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1931 in Greenville and married W.C. Briley April 4, 1959 in Carlsbad N.M.

Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, W.C. Briley Jr. of Veribest and Billie Briley of San Angelo; her fatherLoren Hobson Sprinkle, her step mother Era Sprinkle, both of Greenville; two brothers, and three sisters, Mrs. Sybil Lamm of Kingston, Mrs. Jean Gillentine of Dallas, and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bob Knox, Dean McHorse, Jerry Guest, Bob Briley, Fred Titera, John Kirkham, all of San Angelo.

The family has requested memorial be made to the American Cancer Society.
Died of pneumonia / Diagnosed with breast cancer and pulmonary skeletal and cerebral metastases.
