After the Worst Flood on Record along the Mississippi River in 1844, Wm Cameron and John S David traveled north to Muscatine to assist the town in the clean up. While working there, Wm met and married Catherine on October 9, 1844.
Catherine died from complication from child birth of her second daughter Catherine Scelena Cameron b April 8, 1859.
